CURRENTLY it's the 4th day into shifting....& we're still shifting ahahaha. Ash was saying his friends were asking him how come shift house so long one lol. Friday was the first day (when movers rly shifted our furniture into binjai park) then since then till now, we've been mopping, sweeping, cleaning, unwrapping, unpacking, arranging etc. Never did so much work before >:) Anw tried walking in tdy frm the bustop IT TOOK ABOUT 17MINS :(

so now it's been 2 weeks into hols!!! ohno starting to ask myself what i've achieved altho the first week (as far as i can recall) was preeeeetty good ;) Now counting forwards, there's like A WEEK left to christmas....which means 3 WEEKS LEFT TO TERM 2 IN SMU?? sian leh hvn't recovered from term 1 yet lol

ANW i got back my gpa alr!!!!! indiv grades for each mod out too. Sigh tried to delay by not checking heh heh cuz results were out on shiftin' day & i tried to psych myself tt i was too busy to check (when obv there were fragments of time where i cld go check on my phone lol). So FINALLY just before catching mission impossible, iwenttocheck omg & sian, q low :(

Honestly thought i wld've done better :'( But somehow i'm not say completely disappointed or defeated cuz i told myself tt term 1 was to see/gauge how i cld adapt to the smu system. & thus didn't set an aim for myself so thr's nothing much to get disappointed about i guess....? :/ henh

Planning for yf camp has been surprisingly much harder then i thought too...q challenging to co-lead a bunch of younger youths!! Sometimes i lose the motivation to see how things are running, which =BAD. Somehow i feel this year's theme is not as easy to identify w...& i think the campers will prob feel the same. ahxhzxx Plus camp's on the 26th. Okay need to give my best when i serve go me :)

Why am I finding people increasingly annoying nowadays!!! :( ie) getting easily annoyed nowadays haahahha. Maybe i'm becoming a social deviant or sth!!!! LOL dk how to describe leh.....then everyone starts asking me why Im suddenly so anti social or quiet hee hee

people who talk too loudly give me a headache, talking to those who like to dominate conversations just makes me less inclined to respond so they can be more automatic & realize everyone wants to contribute to the conversation as well.

Or maybe it's true after all that I like I be in control of things lol like possessive and what else the ESFJ personality type means heh heh.

An because of that I can't be genuinely nice in all situations cuz when I don't like the way someone is acting I will just respond w indifference or annoyance!!!! Ahhhh need to change sigh sigh Lord please help me be more accepting & open to the way people around me behave

2nd post this month oh wellzo. Finally reached the end of AW which was such a pain esp the night bfore 2B (i will nvr forget what happened) & what, 6 presentations? hehe :) :) :) ANW in midst of my first ever terms in SMU heh heh it has been hectic so far. Hvn't screwed my brain up so much by analyzing arguments omg why can't we just let ppl argue whenever they want & use any reasons they think is logical LOL

ok anw first paper over alr YEZZZZZZZZ 1/3 done, biz law & twc left. & i feel like a champion now thinking i've conquered the world-.- Shall conquer the other 2 too w God's help!! I think it rly helps tt almost everyone arnd me is studying too. Heh i might just die when i hv to study on my own for the 2 terms after jie graduates hahahaha no more mugging late nights tgth

Thru the span of this mugging period i've also learnt to study OUTSIDE w near perfect concentration - sth i've nvr been able to do since forever. Mugged w so many fellow smuggers & non-smuggers alike drng the exam period hah & i've learnt to force myself to focus hocus pocus :> I think it truly helps to hv a dysfunctional phone also bahahaha can't wait to get iphone 4s AFTER EXAMS (srsly been damn patient on this one, bt not complaining)

i have a new found aim from tdy until the end of recess wk, to post/jot down one thing each day that made me happy OR to thank God for. it might sound quite ridiculous but wtv, it's gna help me through these 2 wks^^ If i cannot thk of substantial stuff i'll put the most trivial of stuff. everyone is falling sick & looking more cui in sch...thr are even ppl staying over for more than a night just to save time on travelling-.-

SO, school so far has been okay pretty fun & all & ppl are nice & profs are friendly & smu itself is just q happening & it's so near town hehe so i don't dread gg to sch but IT IS DAMN TIRING MY BRAIN & ENERGY ALL FRIED. Thankfully everyone else is going thru the same workload like LTB & AW otherwise i wld just shrivel & dieeeeeeeeee. Had makeup lesson last sat cuz of Hari Raya & i was planning to be all grouchy & start kicking up a fuss & complaining like mad heh heh(don't judge). BUT the moment i stepped into sch, it was flooded w students hehe everyone else had their saturdays burnt too so, it was rly a comforting sight for me^^

Anw into wk 4 of the term, rly so glad to have gd group mates thus far. It frightens me to see everyone pretty hardworking & putting in their best for everyth to work out!! Esp my LTB mates hehehe we r so efficient^^ Biz Law too heh we all worked so hard hving consult w law prof all to make sure our 15% is properly/coherently done. dean's list here i come~~~~(hahaha who am i kidding right...)

VIVACE: went w carina malcolm gavin hehe bondue mates. The guys signed up for like mixed martial & we all signed up for like e.y.e & a whole load of other stuff. At the end of the day i realised i put my name down for crusades, e.y.e, smif, biz comm, bfig, samba hahaha. ANW samba tryouts were last friday!! The whole interview & practical tryouts were q fun hehe altho i made a damn embarrassing entrance sigheth. Results out this wk lets see how it goes^^ Everyone keeps giving the ?! look when i say i'm joining samba cuz it's a performing arts hahahaa, yes it's a rly happening cca but those not in smu thought it to be an indian dance club or some cooking club LOL

i've never been more encouraged by the yfer's willingness & commitment to making the breakout event a successful one!! Thank God for eventually clearing the skies & making it possible for us to carry out the recce altho it was 1.5hrs behind schedule :) It was mad rad fun cycling on the roads all hehee IT WAS QUITE THRILLING & SCARY esp when cycling pass the buses on the bus lane & hearing the whizzing sounds from vehicles lol. But towards the last hr my legs were rly dying & breaking apart & my knee was sore :'(

there's seriously a month left to uni now, like really, uni starts on 15th aug. Which happens to be the day bose comes back too hehhehe :> So far FTB camp was fine so i'm neutral abt uni starting now. Camp was fun cuz I was in run 1 so like the facis were also testing out the flow of programmes & stuff but my clan won so it was coooool \m/

The last night dancing part was hilarious but it got retarded so we decided to hv htht haha. One thing i rly don't get is how people can possibly open up their lives to ppl who they've known only for DAYS???? Like setbacks in life, past rlnships, family history all how come ppl can be so comfortable in sharing?! I can't bring myself to even say anyth unless it's in a smaller circle or sth. Since when can so easily htht one.....

So far since i came back had to go for medical checkup, community service briefing, sign up for biz & cf camp, do ocip, fix my stupid lousy omnia phone, go gymming cuz of physio(i hate gyms omg rather run in the park), fix my work dates urgh basically i'm complaining abt hw much i HATE TO DO ADMIN STUFF. It's kinda sad also tt next wk's my last week at starbucks (*$ hahaha get it) & it happens tt jocelyn jason abirah hanis are also leaving???? Sian all bcuz since the WE manager came to take over thr's been alot of hatin' & complications sighz. Now when we go back for fun to study, no more familiar face & also getting free drinks from each other since we can rmb all our fav orders. SIGH :"(

london & paris was so lovely :') Have to thank God for the weather!! It wasn't raining whenever we did our own walking tours, only whenever we took transport hee. Ohya & i drank at least a cup of coffee everyday there, coffee tastes better there hee or am i imagining things :) The culture over there is SO SO SO different & everyone thr is so open hahahah. In all the gardens/parks we went to there were like people laying on the grass to suntan, even old ladies in their 50s hahaha. Damn cool ok their style. And everyone dresses rly well like i see a piece of nice clothing in 1/10 people. ANDAND all the subway buskers are awesome singers they hv srsly gd vocals. mummy and i also realised ppl there don't hv wandering eyes LOL funny observation but v true. Like the couples all only hv eyes for each other & they're super into each other ha-it was such a common sight tt i snapped pics of random couples HEHHEHE ikr for fun cuz i had a thought of making a collage lol

Okay so highlights of the trip were: mummy lost her passport, no internet for 10days, got mistaken as thai-chinese, free upsize for my tall to venti starbucks, watched 7 movies in total on the plane, the joy of snapping anyth&everyth w a dslr, drank till my face turned mad red(but sober), saw the effiel tower SPARKLE (didn't see it sparkle a few yrs back), saw mummified mummies, shopped like mad till we had to make trips back to the hotel to dump our stuff, got special treament at LouisVuitton hahaha, had a budget meal ie)maggie mee & yoghurt for dinner, watched mama mia, was in Trafalgar Sq whr the harry potter premiere was ^^

Neeeed to say tt green lantern sucks DON'T EVER WATCH IT K sucha waste of $$$$, luckily i had free passes. Srsly like what danny said, even blake lively cldn't salvage the show. Seriously the whole plot stinks, & green lantern doesn't even gets support frm his fellow green lanterns until the v last sec, so the whole 'we're all always in this, fighting tgth' marvel comic thing didn't work. Something borrowed was good hehe slightly like a typical chick flick but better cuz the actors were pretty good & the plot had twists to it. And it made me cry, so it's good (Y) hehehe :)

All things will work out for the glory of God† I thk hving failed once in life has rly taught & moulded me to be more discerning...like what elissa & i were sharing drng combined bp conference last sat...being in SA rly tested our faith & also our will/determination to not get too carried away by evryth else. Firstly bcuz sundays are NOT meant for working....nobody i knw works regularly on sundays(except pastors) & usually i spent my sundays as such:service, bible study, lunch w yfers, home, sleep, family dinner. So i was dying frm lack of slp cuz had to replace jason frm 5-11!!!! Secondly bcuz sabbath is the Lord's day & so biblically it shld be spent w God & His ppl luh^^ On a happier note, jie sent me to work & i helped to cover someone for the first time so i felt happy helping cuz i didn't hv anyth on anywayyy hehe.

SMU called me up last wed to inform me tt i was shortlisted for biz interview :) so excited & happy & thankful cuz it was my first choice! I'M BAAAAAACK after so long hehe. Updating has been out of the question lately, alot of things hv been happening & i hv been SO TIRED frm work/physio/people stuff!

Got my palm read for thr first time in my entire life!! By this new student who has apparantly read like alot of ppl's palms in sch. Disclaimer: not tt i'm starting to believe in palm readers, neither do i thk it's a rly cool skill, it was just exciting to hv my personality/behaviour all be told to me by someone!! & surrounded by other ppl who knw me & hv them go 'YEAH YEAH THIS ONE V TRUE' or 'eh not so accurate leh' heehehehe funnnn

So work has been getting increasingly fun hehe when hasn't it been fun right^^ Havn't got to the stage whr I'm sick of work yet. Did closing twice for the first time this wk :> Did closing w firdaus abirah jocelyn & haniz. I had thigh/calve/muscle ache after cuz I've nvr mopped&swept so much in my ENTIRE live. I swept & mopped the WHOLE STORE & my mop failed on me like the mop head fell off & everyth's super heavy. Had to go for trash run & then milk started leaking frm the bin bags so we had to re-mop! Fun part was after 11.30 we took out the loudspeakers & blasted our music in the stall which is so much more fun to sing to compared to normal starbucks music(normal lounge like kind) then we get to take back alot of the food & wait for the van! The van brings us to paragon Starbucks @12.45 then we split to 3 vans which sends us back to our doorstep according to areas we live in hehehehehe mad tired fun. Wld've taken more pics the past weeks or so but 1)cam died until it got fixed by mr D tdy 2) cameras are banned on floor area so can't take :/

Came back frm yf tdy too it was gooooood :) Watched a video & had a discussion on apologetics which rly woke me up bcuz i can't keep sailing thru & being satisfied w my lvl of spiritual maturity. Like it's okay to hv child-like faith but sometimes when you don't question & seek the answers/truth yrself, you're not going to learn & grow. Our faith differs frm others bcuz salvation is a gift, & it is ONLY by God's grace tt we are saved. SO it's not for us to question whether it is fair tt not everyone gets to hear the gospel because grace is given by God himself. A good reminder frm ben was tt as christians, we are called not to impose our faith on others, but to defend it :) & like amelia said, we nvr know whether we are the one who God actl uses to minister & soften a non-believer's heart at tt point in time, but we do need to plant the seed :)

ikr. it's a total killer luh, the after effects(my legs aching like mad nw) But i don't dread waking up at all & i'm happy in the morning knwing tt i'm otw to sth tt i enjoy, unlike all the dreary looking students on the bus^^ All my colleagues-abidah jocelyn zain jason felicia hariz nigel suwati tedrick(hv to type it out here otherwise might forget HAHA) are like 20+ & we all luv working so much we don't mind OT & everyone basically sits/slacks/chill at our narrow room for 1/2hrs after we end shift heehee :> Asked my physio on mon whether standing for 8-10hrs a day is bad for my knee & he was like 'any ordinary person who stands for 8hrs will also get knee/leg ache lor' heee so yay at least my ligament's nt gna suffer. I'm super careful when i climb steps or carry heavy stuff & i don't even dare to squat!!! Can't risk it srsly.

Anw gna being stationed at bar (ie. hot drinks) tmr!!! :O First timeee i'm so scared doing all the hot drinks cuz drng the morning rush it's 90% angmohs & they're quite picky & want their drinks like QUICK. As in like in a matter of minutes kind of quick. Then thr's the 'i want toffeenut latte non fat milk higher temp no foam less sugar & extra shot' -.- Plus, i'm pro-er at frapp hehe (can rmb all the frappes offhand now^^) & orders for frappe usually start increasing rapidly only like after lunch period sad

ohya & also due to the high lvl of sugar intake by working at starbucks i hv decided to bring my toothbrush everyday to work hahahhaa in order to keep my teeth free frm decay. I'm rly rly scared of decays now since the last time i nearly had to go for root canal :/

sometimes hving twitter/blogger/tumblr confuses me hehheh i'm nt sure to post what where. Altho of course each of them hv diff levels of privacy & format but it gets retarded to update all 3 rgding same stuff sometimes hahaha...I mean trivial on-the-go updates wld be twitter(cuz can use phone)& since mine is protected the tweet world's quite small(Y) Tumblr is basically for visual pleasure. For fb, it's just getting more & more redundant, bsides sharing pics & private msging & initiating mass meetups i see no other purpose. Blogging wld be lengthy descriptions(haha my mouth rly cannot contain a few day's worth of happenings) WHICH IS WHY, i need ppl who listen intently when i'm talking (& i rly appreciate m for always doing so^^)

I felt rly useless drng the peak period 12-2pm cuz the queue started forming rly quickly & everyone started working rly fast/efficient so i just stood thr & OBSERVED. Which was quite a nuisance cuz i thk i got into their way just by standing thr hahaha. Well, i wld be ttly irritated at a newcomer if she/he was blocking my way

Damn cool i had 2 free drinks too & obviously i chose my fav caramel frapp & i knw how to make it now(Y) Nigel made this coffee with the cream heart thingy in the middle & randomly shoved it to me like 'eh this is for you' hahahaha it was suuuuper pretty like those typical korean show kind of coffee^^ & the malay guy(forgot his name) wrote down the recipes for the most common drinks so i can go back hm to memorize hee. Eg, for all other bar drinks except for americano & caramel macchiato, 1/1/2/2 shots & 2/3/4/5 syrup for short/tall/grande/venti. & whipped cream only applies to white choc mocha/mocha & all frappes^^

ANW, tdy felt rly strange. I felt like a kaleidocope, like all excited & happy yet just a mixture of jumbled up pieces, sad. Hehheh had a great time as always(finally more pics^^) yet knowing tt the next 3mnths spells UNEXPECTED for the both of us starting frm tdy. Like i tweeted, it's a new start/end. Went to cold stone again after pastamania & had to gather our thoughts...rly hv no idea what to do but just let things flow on it's own. Somehow God gave me a heart of reassurance knowing that this round of time & distance, albeit a rly difficult one, might actl be His way of letting the commitment sink into a deeper lvl of consideration. So no matter hw hard it's gna be, rly thk God for His unique ways :) gonna miss youuuu :/

Receieved flowers & letters & i'm so happy for cht shannon who got baptized & glenn daniel christine junyew for reaffirming too! & jason to the shalom family :) Jason was like WHOA so nice hahahaha being so considerate & helpful. He insisted on telling pastor i had to elevate my leg up on the pew(which i didn't want cuz damn rude+paiseh since we were sitting right @the front behind the guest speaker ok)otherwise my knee wld start swelling. & he did in the end-.- Then he switched place to my left so the congregation on our left wldn't be able to see! & he even put up his leg on the pew ALSO so tt i didn't hv to do it alone LOL

ohhhh yes my testimony was published in the bulletin!!!!!!! :O Pastor called me up few days bfore sun to check if he had the correct copy & i didn't expect to be published this sun manz. Of all sundays hehehe. Anw I hoped God used it to speak to some ppl in the congregation :) & tt it encouraged them tt God brings you in and OUT of situations bcuz he wants us to learn particular lessons. We might hv to forgo certain rlnships but we learn to turn to Him instead of anyth else :>

ok so my leg rly rly hurts @night BUT i try to abstain frm painkillers cuz don't wna be reliant on them! Good thing's tt i hv reverted back to normal slping patterns ie) slping arnd 1+ hahaha. Cuz it's rly tiring to lug my heavy leg arnd the whole day while keeping it straight & hv to plan properly hw to position it so it won't hurt & swell(which can be rly gross based on what i see in the physio place) My knee brace/guard is frm the THIGH TO THE ANKLE!!! ginormous ha. So now i basically read ALOT ALOT, wait for my lovely frnds who visit/are visiting me & play host, do my physio 3x a day(1hr each time), watch movies & bum arnd. zzz such a bummer, can't wait for 6wks post op!!!!

OH YES & DID I MENTION I HV 30DAYS OF MC! & tdy doc paul chang asked if i needed more days off but sadly i've nth to take leave off tho :( sad ttm cuz it's wasted hahaha

& so complaining aside, rly hv to thank my parents for being so supportive & all :) Daddy stayed w me in the ward THE WHOLE WED while i was like slping/dk doing what the whole day just lying thr & nearly dying hehh. He sat thr & bought food & waited for me to get well frm 11am-10pm++? SO i figured i rly had to gather my strength & stop puking & start walking so tt he's stay wldn't be wasted & i cld go hm hehe. Was rly my toughest day this yr (in terms of physical battle)

thankful for mummy who sent me for physio & paul chang's appts & WAITED for me too :) I took rly long to finish the physio exercises w the guys but she was rly patient!!! lovely sibz too who help me run arnd get stuff when it's particularly inconvenient like carrying bowl/plates or anyth heavier than my phone or book hahaha. charlotte volunteered to be my nurse & help me count drng exercises even lol

ok the pictures says it all. didn't knw such a nice place like this existed!!! initially i was wondering who in the right mind will climb up to a place like this arnd evening time but sighhh i lost the bet cuz thr were more than 20 ppl. (we didn't climb tho) The weather was lovely last mon & it rly felt like aircon against our backs cuz all the way below us were some roads & the wooden boards we were leaning on had gaps in them :> one of the best places to chill & watch the stars :) sat & talked till 10+ hehhehehe & i realised talking saps ALOT of energy!! i was nearly dead by the time i got hm

& i keep recommending this place now hahaha gosh have to stopittt
after recommending it to S haha i'm hoping it won't be super crowded tmr so you both can hv a great time ;)

it's over!!!!!!!!by God's grace i'm finally done :) it's stl kinda surreal tho. spending all my time ON MYSELF so far hohohoho >:) ie) getting alot of errands done

went shopping on mon frm 11-6 w mumsy & bought loads of clothes oooh^^ idk if it's me or what, but suddenly v easy to find nice clothes. I hv yet to make my virgin buy frm blogshops! & the best thing it tt hving a sister expands yr wardrobe x2, luv sharing clothes :>

sat was spent w sch friend & frnds^^ - m for movie & lunch & then class ppl for dinner :) was being accepting so was convinced by m to watch shaolin despite it being like supersupersuper chinese kinda show heheh :> lunatic weather + prob <16° aircon in the cinema made us nearly freeze to death. && i don't get why in these chinese movies, whenever they get shot/pierced, they bleed first thru the mouth-_- like gushing omg i don't get it.

&& for dinner, quite sad to see those guys for the last time but yeah, was kinda prepped abt it since i first entered the sch luh. How to put it hmm, like even upon entering the sch i alr had this foreboding apprehension of getting close to ppl who wld hv to leave right after graduating for uni overseas. Sent kate off on sunday but she's gna come back in july for uni so yayyyyy :)

fri night was dinner w habs girls + deb & jamie. celebrated ju&ting's bday♥ thankful to see them growing closer to God each day :) great time of fellowship altho admittingly, i find it harder to interact on a more personal note when thr's loads of ppl hehhehe :/

ok hello i'm blogging @3.26AM to announce tt i've been studying like crazy for the past few days (or more like past weeks) hahaha. Life is pretty much good when you face yr table for like hours. No need to worry abt anyth & anyone, just study heh. I thk i've pretty much revised everyth & i'm afraid like one day bfore each ppr i have nth to look through!!! srsly.(not being overly confident ok) BCUZ i realised last min studying the day bfore rly works wonders for me haha

IB results were out ytd. Ash told me & asked me if pek/shereen/gemma they did well hahaha. Happy for them! :> They all did super super well idk why i have such smart frnds rly

oh yeahh & it's been raining like everyday for the past few days? It's the best to be at hm when it's raining cuz...who likes to get stuck in the rain srsly. wow it's 2011 alr, & somehow every new year(i think for the past 3 or so, i always manage to find time to blog or write in my diary drng the wee hours of 1st jan :) Be it being @hm or stayover or whatnot, i sort of zone in to this (slightly)nostalgic mood! Can't believe i'm gna turn 19 this year...i can feel the avanlanche of responsibilities tt's gna come my way. 19 is no joke, it's the nearing pinnacle of my teen AND SO CLOSE TO 20 :O

SO many things happened but i can say throughout the whole of 2010, God has instilled this peace in me, peace tt wld've been unattainable in a diff circumstance :) Even till now, I stl find it fustrating when it comes to introducing myself to new ppl OR sharing abt the phase of life i'm in bcuz thr's so much to divulge. I mean, explning frm th whole SA---->british a lvl system, not easy. Glad to be able to graduate in a mnth's time & reeeeeeally thank God for family&frnds too who He placed(w great importance) to encourage me. I can say i grew up in the least expected of ways in 2010? hee.

School taught me to look at people in a more positive way, be more accepting & definitely more patient. The dynamics & demographics are rly diff but my sch mates turned out to be alot more relatable then most of the ppl i know :) It was a joy serving in the breakout comm & lcd ministry also, making sure ppl worship wo interruptions & tt outreach was effective!! Learnt to honour decisions made by my parents too-staying at hm for 3 days str instead gg for yf camp turned out to be a rly fruitful time of studying :)

Anw, a timely reminder :)

Sometimes when we're unsure abt making choices & whether we might end up regretting, a good test is by checking whether we can honestly ask God to bless and use tt particular activity for His own good purposes. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” 1 Corinthians 10:31

Another important scriptural principle is that, if thr is room for doubt whether it pleases God, then it is best not to engage in tt activity. Romans 14:23 reminds us that anyth that does not come from faith is sin. I read this particular commentary & it says that engaging in sth doubtful would make it wrong, merely bcuz are we sure we are right even when we are not conscience-stricken? hmmmm

i'm quite confused. different ppl are giving me diff advices. HOWWWW. I stl find myself being able to think rationally cuz i'm not exactly blinded. So i'm pretty sure the pace isn't too fast if things continues at this rate. But loving the new character does not mean the past is forgotten. It might be hard to locate it through what i am sure of now, but i can't help wondering how things wld've been without a stained past. I'm sure tt God wld've opened my eyes for a reason, allowing me to comprehend certain issues in a new light. But, thing is shld i even entail it or not? How can i glorify through this? Lord, lead me please :)

Still it was damn embarrassing singing in front of like 20 ppl?!! Played more games & then the rest decided they wanted to go check out changi haunted house. omg siao one. hahahaha no way will i ever go. Anw, pictures up soooooon :) :)

arghhh i realised i forgot to blog about my birthday! HA. & it's th milestone 18th bday somemore hehhehe ironic.

so on th monday leading up to my 18th, my dearest budz msged me ONE DAY BEFORE & asked me to meet her @clarkequay. & tt day many lovely things happened: I got B for my mechanics test despite an E the previous wk, elea told me she cleared & my mum allowed me to stay out late on a sch day :> (elea i stl can't rmb the fourth one!!!) Anw so we talked abt anyth&everyth. I thk it's been awhile huhhh. Then i had to paint my remaining nail on the spot cuz somebody wanted to borrow th bottle home haha.

then the remaining days stl had to study for my 6tests zz cuz doesn't mean birthday girl means can get excused right >:( So when i went to sch arnd 10+, i went str to the test rm & my friends surprised me thr ☺ hehhehe they made me guess who gave what & i was spot on for all^^ Used my analytical/psych skills to study th packaging/wrapping all HA. Morris lied & said he didn't get me a prez at first (but i acted neutral ha) BUT IN THE END HE DID LO. Yumeng also got me a wallet wowzz amazing these ppl, know them for < than a yr only haha.

so after the last lesson @3+ i went to meet ACE+bose☺ @bugis stn to go to the place i painstakingly searched! Ladyironchef ftw (right cht^^). & obviously decor>food so like i decided we shld just go thr for tea AND TAKE NICE PICS LUH :) thks bose for loaning me yr memory card due to my unfortunate crisis heh. Didn't manage to catch up w everyone properly tho, cuz it didn't feel like a talking day hehe. OH & must say the owner v AP tho, don't allow us to get out of our seats-_- srsly-_- & plus the 'pls pay at the counter cents' & '1,2,3...SMEELL' seriously. hahaha being sc gurls of cuz cannot take it

my fingers were nearly tearing apart cuz everyth was so heavy :/ felt like someone put rocks inside or sth. Anw so glad for these ppl who He placed in my lives & played a part in shaping my character :)

Just spent two & a half hrs writing in my diary!!! Hehe. It sure as hell takes A. LOT. OF. EFFORT :O Didn't write in thr for a month cuz was so busy w sch tests on a weekly basis :( It beats blogging by a zillion times tho cuz I've been keeping diaries since p4 I thk hehehehe :> Got back my term report & my principal says 'cherie has gained respect & admiration from her peers...' hahaha i'm so thkful to God for watching over me in this sch :) & yay i make my parents happy :)

So yes, I'm hving hols now^^ Not th typical spore system sept hol break bt mine's this wk :) Managed to achieve quite alot tho-although a day wld typically start at 12PM onwards cuz I wake up arnd then heh. & my maids even stopped asking me what I wna eat for breakfast cuz it's alr lunchtime whenever I wake-_-

Because I'm so free, I decided tt this wk, love wld be mine to give :) As in I cld go & fill up ppl's luv tank(learnt frm yf one). Visited my dear grandad who's working @a tailor shop in far east ALTHO HE'S 70+ K. Rly peifu him. Bought tehping for him & all my granduncles/aunties said he's v xingfu to have a xun like me heeheehee :) :) ps: addy&evan said I was stupid to buy iced one tho cuz old ppl like hot drinks haha bt heck

Went smu to study as well & got a tour of my future sch hehehehhee. Bras besah(sp) stn is INSIDE smu itself so like every 5mins thr are strangers (note: non-teenagers) walking past study benches. Met E for lunch @ps's manhattan fish mkt & then got a lift back to smu! Had a gd time catching up. I rly luv car rides esp when i'm sitting in front^^ cheap thrill luh maybe.

Reminding me of which, 2 wednesdays back some of th insworld pplz had a bbq @costa sands to celebrate end of terms :> It was interesting, we played stupid games & had quite a fun time. Honestly i didn't expect it to be this fun cuz...most of them aren't locals & i guess thr's this stereotype ingrained in me. BUT yah. Anw left(for hm) w those who offered to go buy drinks but the shop was closed & some resort lady said th shuttle bus comes @10.30(THIS IS IN PASIR RIS BTW, TAKES 1.5HRS FOR ME TO GET HM)& if i want to walk can, but it's 35mins in the dark -_- So we ended up walking back to th chalet, back to square 1. Then matthew offered to give me a lift back^^ Damn cool to hv sch frnds who can drive you back hehe so, cheap thrill once again cuz i got to sit in the front!!!

Also made a trip down to ikea w mum & charlotte to get inspiration for designs. Cuz their furniture is super the do-it-yourself like fix chair legs screw them tgth kinda thing, dad thks it isn't reliable HA. Bt we 3 stl went cuz of the damn yummy meatballs/chicken wings & basically take pics of ideas we wna kope heeheee. Love ikea stuff tho, it makes you happy. && imma get a swing in my room so fun just hope it doesn't collapse. My only worry.

Gna retake my SATS cuz in order to get into my future sch(as mentioned above), hv to get >2000. What is this right. It's so high. Even jiamin who's an econs scholar only got 1600+ & my sis(FROM RAFFLES) got 2030. I did it last dec & got 1900 so i'm trying again w kate in dec this yr :) Hence, being the hardworking student, i've been memorising the stack of vocab words tt qiang gave me-sycophant,vacillate,venerate,verbose,surreptitious to name a few. Don't know right? See it's damn cheem.

The food @evryth w fries is quite yummy! :) Ordered tandoori chicken sandwich & my dish was th best^^ Place smells mad like oil though & I RLY can't stand it when my hair/clothes reek of oil omg. I WATCHED INCEPTION ON SUNDAY NIGHT^^
& my parents allowed me i'm so thkful :) I don't like gg out on sun nights cuz of th sickening feeling of sch th nxt day BUT inception was an exception!! So i walked out of my hse at 8+ in th light drizzle and it was so therapeutic :) Th weater was P.E.R.F.E.C.T :) & to top it up they all called up koi to order our drinks so tt we can collect it quick & sneak it in in time for th show. luv grass jelly milk tea.

Inception was pretty mindblowing, not tt hard to understand actl. You just hv to pay close attention, cannot even like close to rest yr eyes or smth hahahahah. CANNOT EVEN TAKE TOILET BREAK OKAY. I had to control so bad omg starting frm the snow part onwards cuz otherwise surely ???. Another thing, must go w ppl who are arnd same wavelength so you can discuss & end up satisfied w th same conclusions hee.

I had only 4 questions @ th end, quite proud of my brain^^
1. How did leonardo d manage t trap his wife in a jail of dreams?? Hw come she appears on evry 'jail' floor

K this is way cool, first time typing a blogpost using itouch hahaha!!! Hmm hvn't been here in quite awhile, which is ironic cuz I had hols all along & they just ended :( :( Nonetheless managed t meetup w majority of th ppl whom I hvn't seen in ages :)

It's 2:51am now & hv spent th last 2hrs reading blogs of j3s who hv an eternity of time t spend. Kind of intrigued by how it shows what takes up th priority of yr time when you've immense amounts of it! heehee tdy i was reassured of my v good intuition^^ (after talking to nick & ht) Srsly i've no extraordinary talents to be proud of tt's why have to resort to this hahahahaha. It's ttl strange cuz when in these kind of cases, i get v excited for them esp if they have an amazing character hee. Yet another reminder tt God's timing is perfect, nvr early or late. Sometimes i'm amazed at how strangely my mind works hahaha each time i get >5mins to myself i start making a list of things to think about. It sort of works like a checklist, after i'm done thinking i put it aside cuz i feel accomplished. I lie in bed & think for hours when i've th time :)

Last paper ended on wed then went shopping for trivial stuff @ bugis while waiting for marlya's bday dinner @ ps pizza hut. Kids frm my sch are crazy they spend $$ like nobody's business :O It scares me sometimes how ppl can buy things so quickly! I have to like what, walk arnd th whole shop thinking extremely hard & consider how much i love th thing i'm gna buy first, then BUYYY.

So dinner was alright exceptzz i'm stl kind of getting used t hearing multiple languages whiz past my ear while i'm trying to speak my very own t whoever it is. It trains my concentration skills, rly man. I've learnt not to expect much out of time spent tgth but just take things @ their own pace :)

I am sick of studying sick of highlighting notes sick of reading econz articles sick of having 5 tests every week sick of revising my homework everyday sick of having further pure math lessons

BUT this year's really the most consistent i've ever been:) Glad that i'm free frm most distractions hehheh it's cuz my aim's to get into local uni. Either SMU/NUS plz plz plzzz. As much as i love holidays & travelling but studying overseas is different. I'm giving my all right now hope i've enough energy to last this entire year -even if all fails, Philippians 4:13 says 'I can do all things through him who strengthens me' :) God has been gracious and good to bless me with such a conducive environment!

January has passed so 11 more months to go manz (note to self to bear w some ridiculous ppl in sch). Anw got to watch Law abiding citizen w A12 ppl last friday @ cine it was awesome^^ Super thrilling i tell you, thr were grotesque parts whr i cringed like sawing heads blowing bodies but i loved th plot :)

BTW for th first time in my entire upbringing @ shalom, i went up for thanksgiving during watchnight!!! It was so scary, bt i alr had thoughts of gg up to speak since sept/oct. It was only doing God justice to share w everyone how He has worked in my life (despite landing myself in such a huge mess) I guess it wasn't so much as to sharing w evryone what happened to me in 09(which i might had unintentionally focused on) BUT t show others tt despite such a painful year(sub combi/friends/ knee/retain) all things will surely work for th glory of God. If i can glorify God more in my new sch, i shldn't be spiteful abt the change in environment but instead embrace this one more chance of completing my As by 2010 ;)

Felt rly weird as my dad drove me t SA tdy. It wasn't any other sch morning whr i'll intentionally close my eyes trying t sink myself in deep sleep before letting a simple day sch tire me out. In fact, i opened my eyes real big!! & wondered how it was possible for SA t look so calm & vulnerable (?? haha) on a day like this. I'd like t thk tt for tday, i was recalling th past yr w an objective perpective(:

If i were t summarize this whole yr in a rly rly long sentence [RMB THIS ELEA/THAM/ADDY] it'd go smth like: I slept in class & skipped lectures every other day, played hockey 4X a wk, woke up few weeks prior t promos & then got retained. HA.

Anw ya as i ran up t th lib t do some ez clearance crap-not like i borrowed any bks bfore-_-, i stl dashed past th second floor w th same sort of fear tt can only be instilled by th presence of ms k haha. She is one scary women who became amazingly nice towards th end of th yr i can cry.

So mhm it's gna be a whole diff ball game altgh next yr, i'm gna get down to some real mugging, taking off frm whr i left off before my Os. So yeah, i'm pretty much a retained kid leading a boring life now. Was so so hard accepting such dirt-sick news but i think i've gotten over it? After help frm probably a thousand ppl at least hee(:

It's now 3:48AM & i'm spamming myself w as much antm as i can, cuz it keeps my spirit going for th next day! (Who cares abt how tired I become)HA i'm on t cycle 13 now it's awesome i watch it at the speed of a japanese bullet train heee. It speaks much abt how most pretty delicate faces actl have dead boring personalities.

Spent my week bumming arnd mostly catching movies & doing SATS cuz it's equivalent to gp in jc & i hafta score >1900 to get into local uni. & Yes, reminding me that i'm going to an INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL which i've nvr heard of bfore. As cht & yuan have reminded me, perhaps it's an opportunity t evangalize cuz alot of th students thr are frm mynnmar/thailand/vietnam. Ya amongst other like angmohpai countries la.

Oh how i love fridays(: Fridays have th amazing ability t make you smile even if you have a tummy ache, allow you t indulge in a plate of sa's charkwayteow altho it tastes sickeningly familiar coz you've eaten it every single day this week & spark off excitement during leong's MATH [believe it or not] just coz sch ends right afterrr

It's 1.19 AMway past th time that i had set out to be in bed by. Thr's so many things floating across my mind while i'm doing my EOM & i've come t th conclusion tt the rate at which it happens is in accordance to th school work i've to complete. Why don't i have th gift of multi-tasking??

To put it in simpler terms, 6 mnths into jc has definitely taught me to love others more, people of different types, especially those tt i nvr thought i wld learn t appreciate. It sure is hard sometimes watching frm a corner of my eye, thinking how i wished i could have been th one laughing my guts out instead. I've morphed frm a loud noisy person who knew tt laughter & innocence was always in my reach into this quiet observant somewhat bitter(?) thing. I mean i rly love th frnds that i'm with & they do mean alot to me but i feel different. After all, i did make th choice t leave them & i don't regret it coz i vaguely rmb how uncomfortable I was. Here, i'm nt saying i don't judge/criticize/gossip/bitch, but much less(:

Rly can't stand taking pics using phone coz they're always so ugly & ew but i had no choice here cuz i was so seriously angsty. Well both addy & i were coz we wanted a cam SO BADLY while gallavanting arnd the four-star hotel, but thr was zilch within our reach unless we met those guys [whom we dreaded at tt moment]. Temptation to boycott the party was overwhelming as well mhm we sat at the poolside & talked our guts out while waiting for epay, attracting mozzies in th meantime. WE WERE ITCHY ALL OVER BUT WE LOVED THE POOL.

So far june hols has been like attempting to study;through which my percentage of leaving th hse has been reduced to abt 1% haha. I'm pretty sure many aren't willing to make such a hugeeeee sacrifice but yeah, if i'm gna flunk my ct's i'll prob retain j1. & that's a larger sacrifice so nyeh i rather not.

HOCKEY SEASON HAS BEEN A GREAT JOURNEY. I'm sure to miss th snrs-esp 'the moon's are out' haha basically all th nonsense la yaddayadda:D

Church camp 2009 made me rethink how much time i've actl spent reading His word & th numerous mistakes i've committed like goldmining, devtionalism & all. Th youth attendence was awesomeeee & i'm sure thr are many other opportunites for us to grow & unite in Christ! We also surprised nick at the end hahaha & he + room mate yuan danced t wondergirls' nobody. ALL IN THE NAME OF FUN :D

Life has never caved in on me like this before. EVER :`( The instant i stepped out of Dr Lim Lian Arn's room, i cried coz i felt i didn't deserve any portion of it. I was plonked into the exact situation that wasn't too long ago in sec 2 after Bowness shared about the potential that she saw in me. Well, it definitely makes me think about how people who suffer frm worser illness/problems like cancer try their best to move on in life. Thr's only 2 pathetic options left on my list & as much i'm avoiding them now, i'm sure it'll come back to haunt me sooner or later. 1) Quit hockey and join a CLUB/SOCIETY 2) Stay and train [until my knees give way completely] but be of negligable help to th team. I hate decision making coz i tend to regret at the end so im gna let th matter rest for now

PW is eating the life out of me. It's p-o-i-n-t-l-e-s-s. Sigh these few weeks i have absolutely nothing nothing to look forward to except for like hockey season which i can no longer play URGH. Even though thr are occassions/meetups/reunions/ celebrations throughout a mundane school week, they're merely small temporal things tt excite you for that day or week. College life makes me think about more complex & mature(??) stuff that sec sch life aboslutely doesn't bring.

Anw had amelia & jan's bday celeb last week!!! It's so much fun hanging out at night & wandering into SMU's sch compounds at like 9+, 10 LOVE THE NIGHT LIFE TOTALLY :D I seriously picture myself going to school thr in a few yrs time, attending modules, walking to town to get a cup of coffehh and staying up past midnight in th campus t study-Jiamin said it was th norm for him. Mhm the waiters at Fish & Co were ultimately embarrassing but i'm glad we all had fun <3 you guys

It was totally a-m-a-z-i-ng ushering into th new year with people, all of whom have a special place in my heart.

Not forgetting before 12 was a time of meditating & reflecting abt how much we have glorified Him in th past year. Come 11.45 we started sprinting up th stairs & adrenaline starting pumping through everyone. Seriously, everyone. Even arthur got high-canyoubelieveit. We saw/heard fireworks in th distance frm th rooftop & starting screaming along w th giant bell :D Everyone was throwing each other hugs & frantically passing on th fire of our sparklers. [We only had one faulty lighter yknow].

Moments from 12-1-2 was so magical, rly. Spent time talking t people whom are special to me. It might not have been obvious bt I cldn't even be bothered abt those arnd us :D From army to godbrothers/sisters to resemblance to porridge... Thankssss you $

So I rly pray & dedicate this coming year 2009 entirely to God. I don't know what's gna land in my path since it's rly uncertain, but HE'S GONNA DIRECT IT FOR SURE :D

Had candlelight service in church & then stayover at our house! Thr wasn't as many youth compared to 06's watchnight but yeahhh, still felt pretty special(: We finally had our jamming session coz chunkit brought his amp&electric guitar, ben sang, adrian played th piano & i drummed. Supsup noisy but we waited till th adults left first :D

Th older ones drove off arnd 5+ to sleep la so the rest without cars were left stranded. Haha nick, qiang, chunkit & i slept at 6 lurh-WE SAW THE SUN RISING WHEN WE WERE ABT TO SLEEP. Seriously retarded

Had dinner with extended family to celebrate grandparents 70th birthday! & i was unlucky(???) enough to be sitting next to my hc j1 uncle. HA talked quite abit! Frm swim pe in hc to like our parents view on getting attached & stuff. Yah didn't know hc has like 2 major cliques, the english & of course the cheena clique HAHA. ahmazing.

So went for some retail therapy ytd w mum and charlotte! Managed to get a pretty purple prom dress BUT it looks too simple now erh ): Hope it works well tt night! Surprised tt i could get like 2 dresses, a blouse & a skirt in just few hours :D Can't wait for moremore shopping after Os.

The last official day of school passed & I was such a great student to absent myself.

German oral on wed was a zillion times better than I had expected. Mum spared me the prolonged jitters by sending me there straight and I had so much gg through my mind while I sat in the class waiting to be called. Thanks to being arranged by school alphabet, I was the last on the list heh. But it actually gave me more time to run through the 3 topics again :D

Frau Tan and Herr Spindtler! Saved from being tested by teachers who have taught me. I had to speak to this tape recorder which was planted in front of my face during the entire oral process. I think i managed to scrape through fine coz they asked me peasy stuff which I had memorised that morning!

Once I walked out of the room alive and remembering that they had said 'Gut, Du kann verlassen jetzt. Danke!' I teared and instantly thanked God for guiding me through it(: Don't know why but I just did.

Aunt Cindy and Aunt Carol helped to plan this surprise coz it was Uncle Stanley's 51st birthday :D They started on it since a month ago so thank God that everything went smoothly, especially with the chicken butt and wing forfeit :D

AIYER EEE URGH I hate being sec four i wanna stay a four year old kid forever! I'll sell my room to be happy like this!

I have currently 2 amath papers down, seven more to go! >:( My table is flooded with papers that i know i can never finish. Sigh, i'm just going to do everything i see,(frm adria frm julia) and those that have answer sheets. I have exactly five piles of assessments and assignments to clear and only 47 days left. I've read through my chem and physics txtbooks a zillion times and the information refuses to lodge itself in my brain.

Even teacher's day celebration/ACES day/Be yourself day/EEE day wasn't much of a big deal. I guess the stinky feeling of flunking my Os are kinda sinking innnnn. Everyone around me's telling me that i can make it, no need to worry, i am smart enough and all that shizzz but only I know what state i'm really in. Plus, getting my favourite number for my prelims isn't encouraging.

Another thing, I've been praying really really hard about THIS and I'm really glad I'm starting to see God work in THIS part of my life. Thanks alicia kok alot for listening and giving me advice too haha yes i know i'm a real noob in these sort of things. Sigh it's extremely distracting but i HAVE to concentrate on my studies now. That's why i know only God can help me(:

HELLO YO COMBINED BP YF IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH!

Haha really thank God for a good time of fun, fellowship and learning with 300+ youths. I've never felt so comfortable among a whole lot of like-minded christians yah(: Really thank God for this event which brightened up my entire month and actually made me forget abt prelims+Os for a moment-I was more excited abt seeing all these people whom i'll be spending eternity with :D

I like Rev Yap Kim Sin haha his voice is so peculiar i actually listened to him when he preached! Yah, so I was a the assistant leader w Zhi Han. Thank God for putting Han and Joel in my group cause it reeeeally made things alot easier since they almost always break the ice in every situation haha.

And, I LOVED MY GROUP! <3 Haha yay ISSACHAR! We were the only ones who had dinner tgth at the table without ppl going back to talk to their own churches, and the helpful guys who helped to start the supsup slow fire and bbcue the food(:
